i've been doing some side work on an AMX i found in the woods out here in palestine, i got it all put back together and the new demon carb on top was tuned perfectly. . . took it out for a drive, ran great. i let the owner drive it and he wanted to race my pickup. 02' silv(4.8l automatic a few mods) vs 70' AMX(390 with forged bottom end, shorty's, demon 1150, isky cam, ram air), very bad, i busted off the block and his headlights disappeared beside me, and then i saw the flash of light! i look up to see taillights, i caught him at 75ish, and he just pulled away like i was still in park.

next time i work on somebody elses car, i'll be sure they sign a confidentiality waiver, i was only slightly emberassed, but if nothing else, my 5.3l should turn out well if previous experiences have taught me anything

its at the bottom of my signature, 5.3l, flat top mahl pistons, 02 ls6 cam grind with 112lsa, st2 heads,ls6 springs, comp cams pushrods, cloyes timing set, boosted oil pump and ported water pump
