Question: 3 inch X pipe versus duel in duel out flowmaster

I am trying to figure out what exhaust setup i want to do with my 6.2l and longtubes that i am dropping in my truck. Here are the first two options that I have come up with. Also take note that I currently have a flowmaster 50 series 3 in single in duel 2.5 inch out that is dueled out the back. I will also be running no cats.

    Option 1
Longtubes to a 3 in X pipe into two flowmaster 50 series that are stacked and have 4 pipes running to the back of the truck. In essence true duel quad exhaust.

    Option 2
Longtubes to a flowmaster 50 series 3 in duel in to 3 in duel out muffler and not have to rerun the pipes to the back.

I have chosen flowmaster because I like its sound over all the rest.

So what do you guys think?

I'd say option two. I don't know if I would dig the quad tips

Option 2 also, no quad tips on a truck.

Id run the X pipe and 2 3" Magnaflow mufflers! You might not like the way that 50 series is going to sound on the 6.2. My X pipe is still in the for sale section

Or Magnaflow makes that muffler with an X crossflowing design, Has 2 inlets and outlets

I would run 3" pipe from both long tubes to a 50 series with 2 3" in and 2 3" out. That would be awesome. Your X pipe would be your muffler.

I just talked to flowmaster and here is what they recommended. 50 Series Big Block 3.00"/2.50" DUAL/DUAL [530504] : Flowmaster Inc. Exhaust Shop, Love That Sound! If i go with this one then the only piping i have to pay for is the headers to muffler.

That mufflers gonna be huge! LOL. I bet it will have a deeper sound like my super 40 does though. Are you keeping your tailpipes?

You gonna get Rusty Muffler to do the piping/welding? He does a really good job IMO
