    Stroke an LS3?

    What is the maximum stroke that can be achieved in the ls3? is it 4" or 4.1"? If it is stroked what will be the displacement?

    4= 416 4.1= 427... A 4.1 stroke in an LS3/L92 is a joke... so maximum is 4 stroke

    Stroke is to long... LS3/L92 427's have major oiling issues. I had a 418 and in no way would I go with a bigger stroke on it...

    lsx block can go into 500 cubes i think 511 max, i would never go that high, 454 would be the bigest i would but a 427 is good cus of the shorter stroke imo

    427 LSX is a great idea if you have the cash! I'm going to a 403... 4"stroke crank and 4.005 bore. A LS3/L92 418 is a good motor, just wouldn't go with the 4.1" stroke with that block IMO. You are boosted Ramsey so a 402 LQ4-9/LS2/408 LQ4-9/LSX427 would be nice!
