    4l60e handlin 400 hp

    ok bare with me probably a dumb question but when people say 4l60's cant handle much hp now is this at the crank or RWH?

    I fried second gear on mine with about 400 to the wheels within a couple months. I have a camaro 4l60e. Spent abot 600 bux for all new upgraded internals and blue clutches since.

    ive seen 60s hold up to close to 600rwhp. trans failure is in how its used and abused and supporting mods not to mention how its built!!!!!!!!!!

    True, The trans was stock with about 40k on it. I had a 3200 stall with no cooler and a high trans pressure in the tune I didnt knw about. I beat on it well

    weight has a alot to do with it. my buddys 02 SS camaro has like 90k miles on it and it runs 7.1 at 98 in the 1/8th and his tranny is bone stock way it came form factory. im so amazed it hasnt broke yet or anything.

    96 c1500, stock suspension, stock bottom end, 93 octane, street radial- 1.60 11.5 at 115- on the small stage-sold

    I have a heavy truck and a 65e with 99xxx miles on it. Im sure im at atleast 400 crank hp, mine is still doing ok.

    in my orange 01 i had 460 to the wheels and i went thru 4 that was built to handel 700 hp in 2 years all the works and built by the best around hear kings trans.. it may be the fact that all id did was run it but i finaly did the 80e swap and its well worth it trust me
    04 1500 5.3L custom hp tuners tune by myself don have a pic of it yet so hear is my old 01 chevy 5.3 460hp 13.669 @ 116
