Gen I SBC race heads

Got a close friend of mine building a motor for a old s10 blazer. His last motor on spray did 700. He had a pretty crappy head set up though. So now he going stroker and also wants better heads on it. Keep in mind he is only bout 17 and not rich or anything so price is a problem when you start getting in the 4 digits. So there is the situation. I figure there is a good many people who have swapped from gen 1 to the LS motors. So maybe I could find him a set on here.
From what I can gather he needs a 210cc or so head with around a 64 or bigger chamber. If anyone can help send me a message plz

the guy josh at truck builder magazine had a set of vortec heads. assembled and from what i remember he had a really good price on them. my buddy used the same heads on his SS Sprint motor in a 355 on alcy with 13:1 and a good cam made 650hrsp he never ported the heads, just had them intake matched. if it were me, i would use the vortecs never heard anything but good about them and they are had pretty cheap

He has a set already. He is looking for something like a dart. He wants to shy away from the vortec style this time.

An engine builder friend of mine has had good luck with the patriot heads and I think they have a new 225 cc aluminum head for less than 900 dollars fully assembled

the vortecs are a good head but they tend to fall off after the 6k range.. A buddy of mine has a set of AFR heads he was selling. think for $1000 cnc ported 2.08 intake valves not sure what all else but I believe 225 intake runners. he is a member on here but I dont think he comes to the site much. if you want i'll call him and get more info or get him to get online and PM you.

Dart Iron Eagles is what he wants, I've done 500 N/A on a mild cam pretty basic setup with 215cc iron eagle heads on a 383 sbc. They'll run him under $1000 big ones.
