Look under parts for sale. Incoma has a 5.3. I think it is a long block and he is asking 1K.

Have you considered a 6.0 (low output)? More power and a few dollars more...

All my considerations went up in smoke sunday...I was driving to the gas station and the damn thing locked up tight in the middle of the red light....i had to push it outta the road...

Took the truck to GM, they told me $2500 for "new" reman engine...well they priced a 5.7, so...the price immediately went up to $6000-7000 after he found out my truck was a 5.3...in which case I politely told him where he could stick it...

I found a used engine that has 55K on it,buying it and getting it installed is running me $2500.... with only a 90 day warranty, I sure as hell hope it lasts.

I have no other options at this point..

Yeah, I went to check the progress of it yesterday, and they had the new one in already, not completely finished, but it was in. The engine looked pretty clean, and like it had been well kept. The only thing was it had a busted coil pack on it, so I had to use my old ones. That kinda irked me.
