    Project at the shop

Had a guy drop off his '07 vette the other day at the last minute.

    We installed a 228 cam, doing a 3200 yank converter, and a ZEX 175shot.

Came back today and bought a TVS2300.

We're gonna keep the nitrous kit, since it's bought and paid for, but lower to a 75 shot on top of the 2300.

This car should be a blast to drive! I know it's not a truck, but I've been wanting to get one of these 2300's on a vette!

I'll post up numbers when we're done in a couple weeks (waiting on charger)

    later,
    allen

Attachment 1137Can't wait to see the outcome! He is planning on putting a new hood on also right...

I wanna throw in my two cents Allen... I've seen many stock LS2's pop with boost(Go check the TBSS board... over a dozen, no lie). See if the customer is interested in porting out the chambers to lower the CR or just slap some L92's on there and be at around 10 to 1 vs. 11 to 1. if he's got the coin for the 2300, $300 to $900 is a "safe" drop in the hate... It's what I would do. But, None of those maggied tbss ls2's were tuned by Nelson Performance either...

those engines havent been popping because of boost, they have been popping due to the tunes, high compression + boost calls for low timing, lots of GOOD fuel with any amount of boost.

I'd like to see how this vette runs, should be a pretty sweet car once its all done

**edit, well okay... even more sweet than it already is hahaha! got any pics Allen?

I agree 100% but most are not happy with the power of them at 6-8psi and they don't want to run race fuel, this was with the old hh112 and hh122.... and oh the heat soak. Me personally, With a maggie, I would rather have 12psi at 10 to 1, and more timing on 93 octane with a stock bottom end LS2. Keep the quench at or above 80... and no worries. This vette will need to worry about traction now!

DAYUM! I am sure it will make atleast the same or more hp as the ZR1. The ZR1's LS9 is pretty much a factory forged LS3... So with the same unforged motor and S/C--with the cam and stall--it should be pretty wicked.
