    problems

just tried removing the balancer from my 454 with a removal tool and the little pointed end broke off and is stuck in the end and the balancer never budged which caused it to break obviously. any ideas on how to fix this?

Oh my. I've used a torch on broken off taps before 'cause they're harder (more brittle too) and can shatter when heated. ASSUMING the puller parts are the same it might help but be careful and be prepared to buy a new balancer as the heat will damage the rubber (elastometor) ring.

alright a little update. I got the broken off piece out and the threads are ok I'll prolly just run a tap through just to make sure that are clean. Looks like the balancer moved a little not much. And ideas on how to get it off? Reason for all this is the cheap little timing cover crank seal is leaking and oil was spraying everywhere. So I gotta get it off somehow
