    possible trans issue...

So i have the truck completely back to stock . Anyways economy is sucking as everyone knows, i got laid off about a month ago, and i need to just drive the truck for another month or so till i can look at gettin a newer one. So trans seems to drive fine, until you are just crusing and its in O/D and you just barely give it gas and it seems to jerk around and make the truck jump a bunch of times, if you step on it a decent amount it doesnt do it at all.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

I will check the trans fluid and such tomorrow in the daylight, but it was bright red, just changed about 10k ago and didnt smell burnt at all.

    Thanks, Andy.

Put a slight amount of pressure on the brake pedal with your left foot (just enough to keep the cruise from engaging) in a situation where otherwise the problem would occur and see if it still happens.

ok i will try it nathan, it didnt seem to do it tonight on the freeway at all under cruise control, who knows whats going down. And no noises. it just feels like the truck is going over bumps when it happens.

So drove it for nearly 3 days and nothing would go wrong, and then today it did it again. Only after a little while of driving though, and this time it wasn't as violent but more smaller faster jerking. And pushing on the brake pedal didnt seem to change everything, and its definately only in OD because after it happened i put it in 3 and drove around town just fine. Trans fluid is bright red and inbetween where it should be on the stick.

So 4th gear is going away 'cause the brake input should turn off the TCC and the TCC applies in M3 as well...
