    drag radial help

hey all, im lookin to buy a set of drag radials to put on my 454ss wheels i bought last summer, these will prolly be used for cruisin town, street racing, and maybe the track depending how they hook. im lookin at gettin a 275/50/15. its a 15X8 inch wheel. any suggestions on the brand? as of now the Mickey T DR is lookin good to me and has really good reviews. but im lookin for suggestions. if im pushing under 350hp to the rear wheels will this size radial be enough to get me down the track without spinnin? if i dont have to run slicks i wont... thx for the help all!

on my 15x7.5 im running a et street radial 325-50-15 and love it!! i get 1.6 60s on them and they work awesome on the road. i use to have a set o 275-60-15's but when i ran them my suspension was wack(bad ladder bar install) so i cant speak on how those hooked up. but i kow three different 11 second fox bodys around here that run the 275-60-15 and have no problems.

i would go with atleast the 28" 275/60/15. 275/50/15 might not be enough with your setup.

on my street tires with my stroker motor before it blew i was managing 2.0 60ft times with a 255/70/15 on street tires. i have the 454SS wheels as well and was told i can only tuck one side wider before with will hit the leaf/framerail. idk is the 60 or 70 taller? idk with the height would make a difference on width or not since they would be aired down at the strip ?

i was thinking of getting a wheel spacer and pushing the rim outwards more and tucking an even larger tire. i only have a 4" drop to ill be able to tuck anything and if the tire sticks out a little i dont mind. maybe 1/2" at the most would be ok looking.

go with the MT DRs they wont let you down. i have 295/65/15 on my 15x8 wheels

275/50/15 should do trick but only 26'' tall tire. if this works out for you with gearing and etc go for it. best thing is run the smallest tire possible and make suspension work best. 90% of trucks over tire their setup
