    4.10's and LSD= 14's?

Well I ran the truck friday and ran a 15.84@89 w/stockers and 3.23's slightly spinning off the line and that was the best out of 5 runs. Is it possible for me now to hit high 14's or am I asking to much from the ol' 4.8?

    Youll probably be around 15.2-3ish. I have a friend with a cammed ext 5.3 w/ 3.42s and runs a 15.2.

I think its definitely possible. Maybe look into a larger stall? Have you ran the truck with a smaller wheel/tire combo? that may help also

Well, I would think that 4.10s and a TrueTrac would help put you closer to the 14s...you are looking at low 15s with those installed. You can definitely be in the 14s with a 3000 stall, 4.10s, and a locker. Oh--and those rims are definitely slowing you down. You still have your stock wheels and tires? If so, I would try and throw those on when you go to the track next and see what times you can put down.

take those heavy ass wheels off and you'll be close. i got .5 in the 1/4 after switching from 3.23s to 4.10s. i also still had an open diff.

You will most likely run a 15.5. You need a cam, headers, and upgraded injectors to run mid 14's. Add a stall to that and high 13's is what youll get.
IMO do yourself a favor now and save for a 6.0 swap. I made 317whp/300tq... with all but the stall mentioned above. On a 6.0 it would be closer to 400whp.

i'd give him a 15.1-15.2. 4.10s and locker should net some pretty serious gains. i ran a 14.7 with a tune, open diff 4.10s, cutout and drop in filter.

Thats what Im sayin...Dont bother with that 4.8! I hate mine! a 6.0 or LS1 will go in my truck before 2009 is over lol!

And yes take the wheels off and put some stockers on! Makes a world of difference!

I ran it with the stock 17's. Eventually I'll get a 6.0 but prolly not for a couple yrs, due to being in highschool and going to college next yr.
