When i got my gears and eaton installed the guy left the truck on jack stands, and put it in drive, and just let the truck run by itself for 5-10min. After that, i hammered it all the way home, lol

Good rule of thumb is drive for 30 mins and stop and let the rear end cool down, then do it again, after about 500 miles change the gear oil to get any metal out after break in........

Rear axle gears are the only thing I suggest being gentle on....500 miles of easy going....never driving the same speed or same load for too long at a time. Transmissions and engines...? Eff em....drive the crap out of them.
