My friend is wanting to install a set of fans in his new 2004 silverado. But the fans are just 2 seperate 15 or 16" fans an he has no wireing harnes so for right now(till he gets the harness) he was just going to wire them to run full speed all the time. Do you think this will be ok to do? An someone also told me that sometimes the electric fans throw the AC unit off an it makes them run non stop, any one know if that really happens?

It will be ok to run the fans all the time. The AC does make the fans run a good bit more than just the engine cooling. Sometimes my fans run all the time the AC is on(when it is hot outside) and sometimes the fans cycle when the AC is on. Mine senses AC pressure and adjust the fans acording to demand.

Well I have another friend with a 98 chevy 5.7, An he installed the 2 fans an they run full speed all the time. But if he is running his AC then the AC compressor stays on all the time. Even on low, an he is afraid his AC compressor will burn up. What do you think?

I'm not sure what compressor your friend has, but some of the new compressors(like the one I have) stay on all the time and are internally regulated. If he has one designed to cycle then it can cause harm to not run it properly. Are the fans causing it to run constantly? He might need a diode to allow the fans to operate without keeping the AC compressor on all the time.
