    Cut Outs

Any one know if cut outs were used for a long period of time if they would mess up the tunning in my truck

I have heard different people say different things. I dont use them because they tend to leak. When they are closed you can hear the leak.

Through a stock engine with bolt ons, manifolds, cats and a e-cutout behind it, I lost power. I also heard it leak. I guess it just depends on different flows/velocity of exhaust

my cutout hinders my performance in the low end, yet probably isnt too destructive on my highend, just not anything noticable.

I mainly use mine for fun as it really brings out the sound of a cammed truck!

o and ive never heard any leaking from mine and its very used

I didn't see any gain, but some loss of low end power, but it just sounds freaking awesome. Mine don't leak either, sometimes when I start it up, they leak so I just have to close them with the switch.
