    Need Help!!! Rev Wont Pass Up 3 1/2

    I Swaped Out My Engines Last Winter And It Hasnt Gone Passed 3 1/2 Only Sometimes It Does And Gives Me The Performance I Need And I Wanted To Know What Could Be The Promblem It Sounds Like It Chokes It Just Doesnt Want To Go And Gets Me Mad But I Want To Know If Its The Oil Because I Got A Tune On The Pcr It Was Working Find For A While But The Rear Main Seal Is Leaking So I Have To Keep Adding Oil So If You Have Any Ideas Help Please

    So I Change Themto Porfomace Ones And It Should Run Fine?

    just a guess, an educated guess. Most of us here run Off road Y pipes. Not cats. And have the pcm tuned so the SEL doesnt come on. Plus a tune will help your performance dramatically. Get it scanned first. Might be a fuel issue.

    Dad's duramax did the same thing a few years ago... Turns out it was bad injectors from running red diesel.

    I had mine do that to me when i swapped motors. you might stick new plugs in it. mine was acting just like yours. it took me a while to figure it out. 15 dollar test. good luck

    Then again, it could be bad valve springs too.

    well i was going about 90 and i got off the free way and the truck kept turning off on me then it just started to knock loud all of a sudden
    i took it out and apart i check the crankshaft that was my first guess but it looked fine and the cam was fine too it wasnt broken i checked if the vales were getting oil and the driver side was WAY darker than the passager side the driver side look like honey and they other was a little lighter than choclate
    well they were not cloged so they were getting oil... i took out 3 spark plugs to move the crank easier and when i decieded to put everything back i looked at one spark plug and it was smashed and burnt
    i allready dropped it in but dont know if just to get rid of it and get a 6.0 or it will be cheaper to fix it and i dont know what the problem is yet
