    13's or bust!!!

Well finally got the money for the longtubes, called nelson performance to retune for them and take 100% TM out. My mods and old time are in my sig. My goal is to break 13's before the season ends so I hope this does it. I will be runnin on the 27-10.50-16 MT STREETS that I ran before and hopin for better weather. I finally learned how to flash the converter, so maybe better 60's. The closest track is Cherokee County in Rusk,Tx. its the track I ran before but alot of people say its slow... Anyways, any ideas or suggestions? Hope this works... Thanks
    Chris

PS: I started this forum on accident in the lsx conversion lol still new to this stuff

With 100% TM out and headers you should come close in good weather. Bad weather or bad track could easily show no gains as well.

Yeah, well get them on there and hit the track. You'll never know till you do it. With your truck's mods and a good launch, I am certain you should hit the 13's--as long as it isn't 100 degrewes outside...

Well the LT's came in today. Pretty nice that Texas-Speed isn't too far.. Discount called an said they also got my new tires in, (295/45/20) but im still waiting on the redone Nelson to get here. Im gonna try to get to the strip in a few weeks, so im crossin my fingers and hoppin she makes it.

Other than "flashing" the converter for the slicks... is there any other tips yall can think of to get me that little edge?

I don't mean to thread jack but what is flashing the convertor? What does it do? How does it work? Does it only work for aftermarket convertors?

Ill reply to your thread jack just b/c I want to input as well. Stall flash is the RPM the converter will "flare to" or "flash" I.E. you have a 3k stall, that converter may be tighter than a virgin to 3k while you gently go to wot.. That same Virgin may go to 3200 if you jam it in.

Anyway, something is seriously wrong with your setup if you cant get an LQ9 under 13.99 no matter what the weather.

Just my opinion, and I hope you get to 13's.

BTW. The only way to Flash your converter is to punch in the slip range.. If you pull the R's to your converters range you will never get it to "flash" you will only see "Break Stall"

Well from my understanding... instead of powerbraking or whatever you would do for a lauch, you hold the brake and get the rpms just over ideal and when the third light goes off, LET HER BREATH

But someone correct me if im wrong

BTW. .Welcome to LS1Truck.com The rules are clearly stated. I will add that we are more of a family of like minded truck hotrodders that will not put up with any BS, posted or mentioned. So if you are into a fast or "Clean" LSX you have found a home. If you are into talking crap about this or that you will promptly be thrown out of circle.
I will post whore for a moment.. Your truck has a ton of potential and looks good as is!

well it depends on how loose your girl is, but your thought is sound! If you have a 3k or so I would break stall to 15-1700 at the tree. A looser stall will allow a nicer RPM increase to flash.
