Hi evryone.Been browsing here for some time..I got the 93 nelson tune.Thx Allen.I also bought AZSM long tubes, from Project r.Well Heres my question.I took my avalanche in, to have them installed by i highley recomended guy at midas. And he calls me back and was wondering if they sent new y pipe etc,to weld up to factory exhaust. SO now im wondering wtf,it cant be that hard to do.He says hes done the comlete dynomax set before headers, and cats are included in that setup direct bolton..So here i am asking for your help how to get this completed? What does he need to do to once headers, are installed to mount to exhaust?

I know this isn't much help, but why don't you redo the exhaust.....i mean if you are getting headers you will need an aftermarket exhaust to get the full effect of them anyways. So if I were you, I would buy a Magnaflow X-pipe off Ebay for like $120 and then a couple mufflers you like: Flowmaster 40 Series, Hooker Aero mufflers, whatever floats your boat. Should cost ya another $120 for the mufflers and then pay whatever the guy needs to run the exhaust piping. Oh, you might want to ask him if he will need any exhaust clamps also.......you might want those instead of welds. Either way, when you get through it will sound sweet and it will really pick up some hp.

Just my , hope they help

Okay all yu togs and azsm guys.did yu leave your stock cats on, or go high performace cats?Does it hurt performance, to leave stock cats on there?my headers are being installed as we speak, and he asked me why leave stock cats if yu going through all this trouble to let it breath?I was like dunno ill ask and get back to ya?so thats my question thx.I allrdy have a magnflow cat back, and pro cold air induction, and a radix as soon as i blow this tranny, truck only has 3800miles on it.but i had allen remove 80%tm so im sure it wont be long, cause i drive it like i stole it.

i punched my cats out. i dont know if they have a y pipe. the headers are a bitch to put on. im pretty sure midas wont be able to put them on.ive put on about 4 sets of them and basiclaly all you need is a welder saw zaw and a big as pry bar. your best bet is to put the headers on and then take it to a exhaust shop and have them fab up somthing.

Put header on and then had a muffer shop weld the pipes to the muffer. Custom exhaust. I have heard that the cats flow OK but the aftermarket do flow better, don't know how much.
