    Exclamation T-stats?

I want to get a different t-stat and I've been lookin at the 160. Do you need anything else when doing this change..retune, e-fans, etc? Also what kind of performance gains were felt by anyone? Is the 180 better or worse?

I should be fine then not having e-fans? I'm guessing the 180 is almost pointless if a 160 runs about 15 degrees hotter, that would put the 180 at almost stock temp range....I'm about 200-205. I've heard of lower t-stats causing sludge build up, has anyone noticed any problems like that?

You should get it tuned for it for sure, and start lining up parts to do some e-fans. I don't think the coil in the stock clutch fan will engage correctly with the lower t-stat. So when you are ideling around it will run pretty much a normal (stock) temp because the clutch fan doesn't engage fully until that temp to cool it down, but when you are driving down the road it will be a good deal lower than stock temp because you are forcing air through the front.
