I have been watching YouTube vids all night and came across this one... It shows that a new ZR1 Vette ran the 'Ring in 7 minutes, 26.4 seconds.(on June 27th) The previous record was held by the Nissan GT-R (on April 16th) at a time of 7 minutes, 29 seconds. And this means that the ZR1 is now the fastest production car to lap that famed circuit. Freakin badass!

Pretty sweet, I personally think it could do it faster with a little cleaner run and less headwind in that last straight piece. If you pay attention they only get up to around 170ish.
