I was visiting Danny at the dealership today and they had a silver GTO there and it was sweet. I really like those cars. A sales puke was moving it and saw us BS'ing and tried to light up the tires. It started missing and sputtering....
So he gets out and says something is wrong with it. So Danny smiles, gets in, starts it up, turns off the traction control and brake stalls it. Lights them up right away and starts moving sideways. Totally kickass. He gets out and tells him there aint nothing wrong with it.

Man that LS1 looks really sweet under the hood and it sounds kick ass when you get on it. I was looking for my checkbook...

I've been to the dealer twice to check it out also, I havent heard it like you, but sat in it and checked out that engine bay, it is nice looking under the hood.

The ls1 camaros have thier engine tucked way under the cowl, the trucks aren't as bad, but the gto has the engine sitting right in the middle and isn't under the hood at all, very nice to work on!!

While looking at the engine, the salesman said, "ya, and it comes with 100K mile plugs and antifreeze" i was like wtf, lmao, i said i'd be pulling the cam within the first 5K miles, he just looked at me funny. haha.
Also, i didn't know they had the mechanical cable driven TB, being an 04, i'd thought they'd have drive by wire setup on them, of course the sales dork said "oh ya, it has traction control too" hahaha, he had no clue what i was talking about. one more funny, he of course said "we can get you into this", i said i was waiting for an 05 and i wanted an auto, get this, he had no clue they were available as an auto, hahaha.

ok, really one more and that's it, they had a yellow one there, and wtf again, they put two black sticker racing stripes on it, omfg, and they were crooked, it look very stupid!!

I'll be getting an 05 as soon as they are available, i can't wait,

That's good stuff. Shoulda told him to go back to sales training.
They should at least know what they are talking about before opening their mouths.
The silver one had a auto in it and they had another black one I did not see up close. Both were getting new batteries, I guess there was a recall on them already or something.
Even though I like cutting and welding on exhaust, I think I would probably leave that one alone. It sounds real good when you rev it. Hope you get one. I certainly will if I come into some money sometime..... I can only pray....

Yeah, most car dealers I have met don't know anything about the cars other than what is in the brochure. The GTO has a true dual exhaust, that's why it probably sounds so good. I think they use an H-pipe for the crossover.
