    New to the site

    My name is Jake, I have a 02' Silverado 2500 4x4. Not looking to get to crazy with it. I have a predator programmer and that's about it. someday I'll get a cam, headers, and true duels but that's about it. I love the sound of a lumpy cam and flowmasters. No supercharger, or turbo in my plans I already get 10 MPG. I also Have a 08 cbr 600rr, that's faster then any supercharged truck. I used to be a member of truckfourms, and they were always talking about this site so i had to check it out. This site is geared more toward me. Just wanted to say whats up and introduce myself.

    Yeah, welcome to the site man! You will find a bunch of very informative stuff here. I am with everyone else--program your truck back to stock and sell that Predator. Then go get a custom tune! You will actually get better gas mileage and performance out of it!

    Welcome, what you need is a 5.3 for gas mileage--- I get 15m/g at 80 miles/hour. 17.5 m/g at 65 m/h.

    Yea i know what your saying about the predator, I wanted it so, bad but when it got here i was not impressed. I didn't realize that it didn't data log or anything. It only does half of the stuff it advertised. I wanted a nelson or wheatley tune, but i don't like being stuck with a tune. I like to be able to shut it off whenever i want. I wasn't' complaining abut the 10MPG because i get free gas from work, all the gas i want. In fact I have a 45 gallon tank under the truck and a 90 gallon tank with a pump and nozzle in the bed that i use to fill up my wife and friends. The problem is that it isn't 91 octane.

    Welcome! Free gas for your friends? WOW! What a friend you are to them and you probably have alot of them too

    If you like the ability to tune and untune your vehicle (I don;t know why you would wanna turn it off), but you should really invest in LS1Edit, HP Tuners, or EFILive.

    If you get a custom tune by a tuner, you can get an 87 octane "Economy" tune which will yield you better performance and mpgs. But since you can only access 87-89 octane and don't pay for your gas, you could easily get a tune that will operate in that octane rating that will give you a lot better performance than what the Predator could EVER do...

    Yea sometimes it gets annoying. I tell them if they buy the beer then i'll fill them up works well most of the time.
