Gettin Too Old for This ****

At the ripe old age of 22, Ive come to the realization that I no longer posses the stamina or quickness I did in HS. The plumber on my job site has been talking **** about how good he used to be and still is at football. So we decided that we would have a friendly two below football game us(general contractor) against them(the plumbers). Well the plumbers cheated and brought out a bunch of HS and College football players in stead of using people on their crew. We decided to play anyway and ended up winning but in the process on a kick return I went to make a cut and tag the guy with the ball, I went over one way and two guys that were blocking hit me another way. The result is either a broken ankle or an extremely bad sprain. So here I sit with my ankle proped up waiting to go to the ER and find out what it is. Ive had a sprained ankle before and this feels worse but Ive never had a broken ankle so I dont know what it is. Either way I guess I need to realize my days of balls to the wall sports is over. My joints have been beat to **** over the last 18 years of sports.

Your only 22. I had my first of 3 ACL surgeries from wakeboarding at 23. You have to keep working out like you did in HS. I agree, the older you get the longer it takes to heal, if ever. Good Luck!

True dat Kurt. Reality sets in when you used to play sports and then take a 5 year hiatus and then think you can get right back in where you left off...yeah, not gunna happen. That is the exact reason why I run 3 miles and workout 5 days a week...just so that if I need to "zig and zag," i can do it without hurting anything.

Sucks to hear about that Cody. Just make sure you take care of that ankle and give it proper healing time...

No Im still coming I just have to wait till after rush hour so I dont have to shift as much since the jeep is manual and I hurt my left foot(clutch foot) and I need to use it as little as possible. Ill head out around 7ish. My phone is in the other room and Im not getting up to go check it. When someone comes in Ill get them to go get my phone.

Sprain hurts worse and takes longer to heal than a break.

Its feeling a little better now, but it pops when I try and walk on it. This **** sucks, and I have way too much **** to do to be hurt. Im thinking its a sprain since Im able to put some weight on it. Im just being bitchy and bored waiting to go get it checked out.
