    Amp Question

    The Amp I have for sale in the for sale section...

    How would it sound hooked up to one Kicker 12"

    Heres the specs:

    4/3/2 channel amplifier

    I will sound ok at lower levels but it all depends on if the 12" sub is a 2 ohm or 4 ohm and what RMS vs Peak watts. I would use this type of amp for mids and highs then buy you a single channel mono amp to push the sub if your looking to hit hard. The amp you have will work though.

    That's actually a pretty small sub and the amp would be ok at lower levels but would never reach the peak potential of the sub. Alpine isn't junk either. I like most of their equipment and have had great luck. I'm a Rockford Fosgate, Memphis and JL Audio man myself when it comes to power. I'm talking older amps, the newer stuff just isn't the same.

    Yeah, it will work ok and push it decently, but you won't be getting everything out of it... You should always go with a single channel (Mono) amp it push subs. I would use the current amp to push new door speakers and then get a Mono amp to push the sub.
