    header noise

    Just got done putting my dynatechs on my truck today, does everyone who
    run longtubes notice more "tingy" noise right under the truck? also havent got a retune yet, should i do a wot run check my a/f and tell Allen , or will he know.

    Normal , the old cast iron manifolds deadens the "tingys".

    2nd opinions welcome.

    Yes a retune would be good.

    yah i noticed the same thing when i put my dynatechs on...thought i had a leak...but i think its due to the stock manifolds are nothing but a big chunk of metal that deadens the sound.

    its the wonderful sound of a scavenged exhaust pulse.

    Yeah, that is normal when installing aftermarket headers. You can wrap them--that will quiet some of the noise. But I would recommend that you take the headers off before you wrap them. Its a PITA though...
