    Is this a good deal?

i found a 6.0l and 4l80e together with 6800 miles on it. They came out of a 3/4 ton van, the intake looks different? would this be a good setup for my avalanche?

Eh, that is a little on the high side, but like Virgil said--try and chew him down a little bit on the price. I am not familiar with the van intakes or fuel system...

That's not too bad, you figure $1200 for the low mileage trans and $2900 for a low mileage engine, if you have the money, I say do it.
You can shop around and save a little here and there, but in the end, just be sure you're comfortable with the purchase and you're getting what you paid for.

That setup will sit right in there making a strong foundation for a fast truck!
