How to double your gas milage

Ok, when i went to austin last thursday and friday, we stayed at my wifes aunts house, and they show me this flyer that claims huge MPG increases, with potential of over 100 MPG even on large trucks and SUVs, and in the story there is a Mazda 3 that is claiming 121 MPG.

Anyways, i wanted to get a copy of it to check it out more later, because it had a website on the bottom of the page, well i ended up forgetting it, but did a google search and found it.

    PICC

It is claiming that with there Hydro-assist fuel cell, you can atleast double your MPG no matter what car you drive. And they are developing a pre ignition cat converter that can use water and turn the fuel into a plasma, that burns so clean you get virtually nothing out of the tailpipe, and you will never have to change your oil because the fuel burns so clean it doesnt get dirty either.

Now they are saying the HAFC thing is available now, but the PICC is still in development, and once you order the HAFC you will be notified when the converter is available for your car.

They dont say what it cost, but i filled out the request a quote form and will post up what they tell me, suppose to get an email in a day or two.

Just thought id post this up and see what you guys think. Im sure its way expensive, and i read that when it comes time to buy the PICC for your car, it will increase the value orf your car so much, that it can be used as collateral for a loan to buy the PICC, sounds like a scam to me. Anyways view the video on the site and post up your feedback.

Pretty damn impressive if it works. Im sure they want an arm and leg for that because of so much savings. I would love to get 33 mpg with my 5.3!

If I get 100mpg and it cost $2000- $5000, Ill buy it right now. the water tank in the back of the truck should help with traction. And i bet that since the engine is running more effeciantly, it has about the same, if not more power. I bet you could custom tune the new computer for boost and get 50-75mpg with 500whp. This stuf excites me.

A few observations, they may be completely off but...

"When they shut off the engine, the researchers reported that it coasted on the plasma for another two minutes."

Interesting, I didn't think you could burn plasma. Plasma has no electrons, and is just superheated gas. IMO it just doesn't sound right.

"The Fuel Cell is the heart of the system. It separates water into hydrogen and oxygen, and adds the hydrogen to the fuel mixture, making the fuel mixture rich so the computer can “lean” the fuel. The unit is built of durable stainless steel. It can be used even in freezing weather."

Hydrogen gas has less potential when burnt than gasoline. and it would make the mix rich, but only by displacing oxygen

"The Vaporizer contains 6 powerful magnets"

magnets? really... magnets? since when is fuel magnetic, it comes from the same place as rubber and plastic.

    " * 6 x 6 x 4-1/2
    * draws 15 amps
    * produces 50-70 liters of hydrogen/oxygen mixture per hour"

My off road lights use more power than that, if hydrogen was that easy to make everything would run on it.

"The Covalizer is a blend of special chemicals added to the fuel that helps “crack” the fuel into smaller molecules and aid vaporization, so your engine burns the fuel more completely, yielding greater fuel economy."

Any alkali will break down petroleum products into little pieces. But it kills lubricity, try adding some bleach to your oil or gas and see how it works out, you'll be getting great mileage, because you'll be walking.

Also, they have about the cheesiest video ever. If you want better gas mileage I do have one suggestion however, A friend of mine has a cammed TBI 350 which gets 9 mpg. Bolted up an after market overdrive and now it gets between 16-22. Thats not "300%" but its actually based on reasonable principals, higher gear = lower engine rotation/faster speed. I think he said it was a GV unit, but the cost is prohibitive in many cases. They run close to the cost of a supercharger and a supercharger gives you something you can't put a price on " per gallon"

Yeah, I have seen and read about this stuff. I think it is feasible, but there needs to be more development with this stuff. I am sure that hydrogen powered cars is the way of the future, its just going to take some time for us to get there. Until then, I am going think diesels is the way to go. I can't wait until the 2010 half-ton diesel comes out
