Would headers be worth adding to my truck with the sts turbo or will they not be worth it ? im starting to get used to the power and want more and am wondering if that is a good or bad idea??

no because you need to retain the heat to make the turbo perform better...if i could hot lap my sts truck my times would get better because it was already heated up but if i had to set in line my time would suck big time...

Try wrapping the exhaust up to the turbo. Jamest seems to have had good responsive results.
Gone, but not forgotten!

yes..wrapping the exhaust all the way to the turbo will help keep the heat in...

If headers on a N/A will give you beter flow of exhasut wouldn't that benifit on a turbo .... Also couldnt you get the headers coated or wrap them as well?

i think they would help get more of the air out of the engine, and because they have better exhaust flow they turbo would spool faster, but at the same time you i think you might loose some boost because of the higher efficiency of the engine.
yes you can wrap or coat anything but the stock manifolds hold in the heat better...you could prolly run some ceramic coated shortys and then wrap the rest down to the turbo...i remember one guy that dynoed with stock mans and then with headers and lost power with the headers with the sts...i ran the shortys with my sts with no loss of power..
if trt will chime in soon he will tell you the same thing since he only installed and modded these sts kits 1-200 times...lol

this is good info, ive always wondered why people get all extravagant on header pipes with the turbo set up. Thanx.
remember we are only talking sts trubo here...if your gonna run a front mount turbo then you can get as crazy as you want to on the header because the turbo is right there at the header as the sts is under tha truck...the closer you can install the sts turbo to the engine the better..less piping = more power and effeincy...
