    Trany went out again

    My trany went out again in my truck. SOB!!! I was driving home after a long day at work gettin on the freeway. had to merge in so I gave it a little gas to get up to speed and Bang!!! Thats all she wrote. this was on wensday so I have no ride.

    yea...i went thru 5 of those built weak ass trannys this year...will be glad to see this year GONE!!! I still hear that "BANG" in my sleep and wake up in a cold sweat and grab my wallet cause i could see my money flying outta it!!!!

    I Went Through 6.haha,tell Em To Check The Old Famous Output Shaft ,maybe You Wont Have Too Replace The Whole Tranny If Its A Clean Break.i Broke 4 Output And 1 Input This Year,the Billets Are On The Way.
    mods:2004 sierra ext sb,20s ,big brake kit w,hawk pads,air bagged,2006 6.0 lq4 swap,vortec supercharged10psi, air to water intercooled w/ dual electric fans on it ,snow meth injection kit,60lbers, e-fans ,big radiator swap ,cam 218 /222 548/550 comp .hardened prs .1.85 comp roller rockers ,guideplates ,crane double springs,trans 4l65e built .pacesetter l/ts true duals w/x pipe and magnaflows,14 bolt rearend swap ,3.73s,aroemotive fuel pump system w/elec.fuel controller and bypass regulator a/n fittings, taylor 10.5s interceptor gauge,aem w/b a/f ,autometer boost/vac NELSON 93 OCTANE TUNED .

    Sad...build it better!

    Check out this guys business...

    700R4 & 4L60E Automatic transmissions specialists - ProBuilt Might allow you to use that thing a few more years...you can build one yourself if you are good with tools. My first tranny I used "C" clamps to disassemble and put back together...It isn't hard, just time comsuming. Giver her a try...
    '-05 people haulin' 5.3 crew cab. Nelson Tuned! 17.4MPG @ 75MPH...SLOW, but not bad.

    If you are as dumb as I am this would not be the way to go.

    FLT is the only way for me.
    Check the 4l80 conversion Allen did. That could be done with a stock 4l80 and outlive a built 4l60.

    well its been a week with out my baby and still no word on the trans. called and left a message for him today to let me know whats goin on.

    I am still running the stock 4L80E and its strong! Look at my sig, it should have given out a long time ago, knock on wood its still strong.

    That's funny. I have a similar dream. I hear a loud bang in my sleep and then the phone rings. It's you ordering a level 5 with a billet shaft!
