Well don't put a shift kit in and maybe you won't blow it.

The G80 is a load of crap.
This happeded 2 weeks after putting an FLT level 5 trans with corvette servo.
Broke virtually everything from transfer case back.

if you replaced your g80 when you changed gears, with a good posi unit, you will be fine.

Yea the G80 is crap, I have it in the 2500 DMAX, and we DMAX owners are having our fair share of troubles of breaking them as well......Can you believe they would put something so fragile behind the Diesel Torque???

Get ya a good posi unit like stated above, it will treat ya better.

soon to come is a intake and exhaust. (wifes truck)

Other vehicle is a 03 2500HD CC/SB 6.6L DMAX straight piped and Edge stacked with Superchips and gauges, Loves to eat rice for sure! Fartcan exhaust makes it better!

Absolutely not, I am saying the G80 design is just crap, weather it is in a 1500 series design, or the bigger 2500 series design, it is weak in either case.

The design is about the same, just made on a slightly bigger scale for the 2500.

I hope I am not speaking to far off course....
