    newbie from south texas

    hey just wanted to introduce myself as well as my truck. she's very lightly modified. i just put in a Vara Ram air intake system and am gonna get a computer tune but a good friend. any cheap or do it yourself mods that u all can help me out with so i can squeeze every last drop out from my 4.8 V8. all comments are appreciated. thanx

    Glad to have you--welcome to the site man! There really aren't that many free mods that are worth a crap, but you can do several low cost mods if you are decent with turning a wrench... You can do a new catback exhaust set up, have your stock throttle body ported, ls1 electric fans, alt and crank pulleys, custom tune, etc. The list goes on and on...

    yea that cat back sounds good. my truck came with aftermarket exhausts but the tips only say regency so im thinking they are custom or something cuz they give a really nice rumble. most of the guys over here southern texas just cut the cats off the mufflers for direct flow. also add a cut out which more than likely ill do. thanx for the support guys, oh if u all are interested we hour our own forum called RGVTRUCKPERFORMANCE.NET check it out if u all like. i just wanted to get opinions from people other than them. thanx

    I dont know what rengency uses for a muffler, but it does sound good, nice truck
