    Southern California Fires...

Guys, I'm sure you all have been watching the news about all the fires here in So Cal right now, and like probably others on this board, I live here in Los Angeles area, just south of the Santa Clarita fires, and my mom lives about 4 miles from where the Orange County Fires are, and the San Diego Fires, well, those are the worst. I lived there the last 6 years, graduated from San Diego State, and still consider it home. Many, many of my friends have been evacuated from their homes down there, and its just very frustrating when you cant do anything about it. as of right now, the winds have died down a little. God bless the firefighters and all public safety officers who are working 12, 24, and even 48 hour shifts to try and stop the fires. I just thought I would let you all know a little more about whats going down here, keep all of us in your prayers. Its crazy, Quallcomm stadium where the chargers play has like 15,000 people there..so sad, but at the same time the volunteer from everyone is overwhelming.

this is such a disaster out there, but what is really great to see is how the people are acting so generously and kind to each other in this situation.

Those firefighters up there are busy as hell, alot of the time they are digging, cutting , clearing, backburning, and in this case evacuating people so they dont get killed. The last fire in that area the made a break line to stop the fire and they were going to use that line for the new one, but it may be to big. Granted all fires burn out eventually, this season is going to be bad because of excessive rain earlier in the year. Plants and slash overgrow then die causing a build up of fuel. someone drops a ciggerette and boom, chaos. I hope everyone prays for the people and the firefighters saftey, as it is very easy to get over run.
