retune or not
well im noticing that on my truck going about 35mph then WOT, it doesnt drop to the lowest gear and pull, cuz i think at this mph it should drop to first gear and it doesnt, could it be the converter or does it need a retune, and its' been about 5 months since i've been to the track racing. other than that it's fine, or could it be the pi vig 2600 that i have on

You may be out of the 3-1 downshift pattern...Try doing a 30 mph WOT run. You can have it returned to set higher RPM shift points, hence giving you the ability to perform 35 mph WOT kick down to 1st gear... Just make sure you have the supporting mods to let you truck rev that high. Your tuner will know your limits depending on your gear ratio, rolling diameter of your tires, etc...

well i have a great tune which is allen nelson, but today i took it for a spin and did the same and tried tapping the brakes slightly and bamn it unlocked and downshifted the way it should.
