ok guys i got the 96 scswb vortec 5.7. im lookin at these mods.
3000 stall converter, 100 shot nos on wide open switch, Cam(comp XFI), and a Tune. what power adds am i lookin at? i run 9:52 now in 1/8th wit just flowmaster 40 series and open airbox. ill also do header and a CAI. any suggestions time or power wise. i think these motors are 250hp stock.

For some reason, the '96 Vortecs were really strong motors... It will respond well to your planned mods! With all of the mods listed, you are probably looking at 50-60 hp (w/o 100 shot, of course) advantage... The stall will help the most, eventhough it doesn't make any power... Just make sure you do long tube headers... And a live tune is recommended. And you WILL need to do some tranny work soon. Trust me.
