well, i expected it, but not nearly this soon. the suburban lasted two years on the stock tranny, and i dogged the hell out of that too. racing all the time, 6k shifts all the time. maybe the suburbans have a better tranny cooler. but last night i ordered monster transmissions best tranny, good for 650hp, a 2500 stall and a 13500 gvwr trans cooler. and today my detroit truetrac came in, so when i get her all done she shoud be all kinds of nasty.

the guy at superchargers for less, says that trans coolers dont help that much, but i was always told that heat is what kills a tranny. so my conclusion is that keeping it cool is important. and a 13500 gvwr is big enough right? i dont know how big the stock one is.

Yeah, you should probably get something in the neighborhood of 24,000 GVW. B&M makes some good ones...

that sucks that the tranny died...but look at the bright side now that you have a new built one you can throw a new pulley on and pump up the boost..
