testing out the new LT's and tune.

well i have had me lt's on but haven't really taken the truck out for anything but to leave black marks up and down my street, because the ORY hadn't came in. well it came in yesterday and i put it on last night. after i got done a buddy was there and i asked him if he wanted to go far a spin and he said heel no i want to race you. i was a little hesitant because his car is a 2002 eclipse that he has turbo'd and inter cooled with meth injection, running about 15 psi. and it runs pretty even with my wife's G35. well we pulled out onto the highway and i waited till he got beside me then we both hit it, and i immediately pulled one length while spinning, then we stayed there through first when i hit second i gained about another half a length. when my truck shifted to third i thought for sure he was gonna come rolling up on me because it doesn't feel as strong but to my surprise when i shifted to third i proceeded to pull around 3 cars on him from 80-110.
i slowed down and said lets go again and he agreed. i pulled it into 1st and jumped out half a car, then hit second and gained another car then he waved me on.
on a side note always check your A/F's after installing headers, after that race i went back home and hooked up my wide band, and found i was running around 13.5 at WOT i think im lucky i didn't kill my engine. so thats when i installed the new tune Allen sent and now im at 11.5

i cant wait to get it to the track, i have no idea what i would run in the quarter. i am hoping somewhere in the 13's. but i am 4wd and extended cab and leather and all adds weight. and the subs under the rear bench. i am trying to get my wife to get me some dyno time for a anniversary present. i want some solid numbers so i am not guessing

Yes, as you now with your last round of mods on the Sub, you should ALWAYS have your tune updated every time you add mods---doesn't matter how little you do... Good run on that Eclipse! Damn ricers...hehe!

well i used to be hardcore into DSM's, i had an 11 second awd eagle talon. but it just wouldnt hold together. and i think a grown man needs a V8. my buddy turbo'd his eclipse from all the spare parts i had from the 4 different dsm's i had, and its quick but no match for a blown gen 3

I like the gen 1 and gen 2 DSM Eclipses...especially a gen 2 GSX... And the Eagle Talon (and Plymouth Laser) were forgotten and not regarded as fast. Mnost people would see that car and say, "Talon???? What is a Talon?" And then they wouold get their ass spanked off the line from it being AWD...
