Guys, I have an issue. I have this posted in the Electrical section also, but figured I'd put it here too---to get more traffic in this section. Here it goes:
Sorry for this long post--it will take a minute to describe everything...
I was driving down 75 in Plano...everything was normal as usual. Then I looked down and I had no:
Tach
Temp gauge
Fuel gauge
Odometer
Gear selector indicator
But I DID have:
Speedo
Oil pressure
Voltmeter
Radio
A/C
What gauges I did have working were fine and read normal. Everything else was blank or at 0.The truck was running normal. The Message Center had the Battery icon showing in RED. And the Seatbelt light, Air Bag light and Parking Brake light were all flashing intermittently---kinda like a cop car's halogen lights---an odd flicker. No other warning lights were blinking--not even the CEL.
So I pulled off and into a parking lot and shut it off -- my headlights were on (it was 3:30 p.m.) and my efans stayed on longer than they usually do after I shut it off. I took off the neg. terminal of the battery for about 10 minutes. Looked at almost every damn fuse(except for the airbag)--nothing was blown. Then I reconnected eveything. It started just fine and ran just fine, but it was the same as before, but the efans won't turn on.![]()
Drove to AutoZone and they scanned it---NOTHING.I was surprised. I then figured it was either a blown circuit or a short in the gauge cluster and then drove it home back to Fort Worth from Richardson with no problems--except for the battery light and no gauges. Any ideas? Please help!!!
TIA
