    lots of problems with pulleys

ok, so i want to go with a little smaller pulley and try to get a few more pounds out of my old sidemount on the sub. well i went to south florida pulley headquarters, and ordered the dial your boost system, so i could swap back at any time. well come to find out that wont work with my system, well the guy was cool and i sent it back and he sent me a 2.6 keyed pulley, sinc eim running the 2.8 right now. well that came in a few days ago and i finally felt up to putting it on yesterday, and what do you know it isnt right either, its keyed but its waaay to big for the shaft on my supercharger. what am i supposed to get. why is my supercharger so different? i know its the old system. everywhere i go i hear that. but i bought it 3 years ago and only paid 1500 for it and it added a good 75hp so i thought i got a good deal, and its the family vehicle for trips so i dont need it to be supper fast. anyway im done, i have to call this guy and see what we can do.

well i just got off the phone with pulley boys, i should have went with them first, he was super helpful. and they offer a 2.5 pulley with would probably give me almost 10 psi. and they are like 30-40 cheaper. oh well, they SFPH guy called while i was on the phone with the pulley boys guy and said top send it back and he was having new pulleys made and would get a new one to me in a few weeks. so i guess i just have to wait.

Jester--this is like your own little soap opera with the recent problems with the Sub. Any news on the knocking problems?

yeah, im not really sure whats up with the knocking, it stopped knocking, after the tune set in and i got the crank relearn, but then after talking to allen we found out that he didnt know i have 28# injectors, so its running rich also. so since i need it running good this weekend for the trip, im in the middle of swapping the stockers back in. then when i get home, hopefullly the new pulley will be here and i'lll throw the 28's back in and get a tune set for 10spi, 28# injectors, and then leave it the hell alone. then i'll only mess with the silvy. i got big plans for that. including heads, cam, intake, throttlebody and stall. i want low 12's out of a z71. i just want to see the face on a damn cocky mustang owner when a 4wd chevy truck whupps his ass.

Badass dude! Well, running rich is better than running lean... Yes, make sure Allen knows EVERYTHING!!! 10 psi might be a bit much for the big Sub...how many miles???
What kind of heads? Cam? Stall? I'd avoid the intake. Wayyyyyy too much $$$$ and labor for only small, small hp gains...My two cents...
