Hi RED!! I went up to Michigan to see the best Duramax/allison Guy on the east coast,Merchant auto motive. He did his stage III Build, which was to replace my clutches with Alto clutches, special Machined Steels to let Fluid flow better, Transgo shift kit, a few Secret internal mods and a Precision Ind. Converter. This trans Holds all i can throw at it. This same build is in a truck called NASTY GIRL, Whick makes 1000RWHP/1900+ RWTQ. So i dont think i'll ever blow it up. Im looking for the mid to high 12's at the track.

Just went through the transmission and added blue plates, a few more mods, a vacuum pressure controller and tightened the tolerances up on it. Counting the days down to when my 408 gets bolted in place. Took the truck out to the track Friday for the last time on the LS1. It's getting slower by the week and consuming oil so I parked it until the 408 goes in. I miss the power the 408 has. By calculations with weight, ET and MPH it had about 500 crank HP. Not bad for a low compression 408. I hope to be able to spray it reliably when it goes back in. Another 300 HP should make good broken parts inside the 4L60E. It's a good thing I have a 4l80e in storage waiting for the day the 60e grenades.
DAMN Red, your truck is going to Fly! Stout drive train for sure! I went to the track last weekend, Did a 4x4 launch and bent my damn tierods and Centerlink. That sucked. I had a 172$ tow bill for 23 miles. It was a Bad night. Now im a little gun shy about running in 4x4 . I m going to try lowering my torsion bars next time.

Hey Foggy! How's your truck runnin? You ever have any probs with your lift and 4x4 launches?
My truck is running great. Took it to the track about a month ago and was launching around 7psi. Haven't had any problems with it.
