    What motor to get?

Well..Im wanting to at least get the motor part out of the way when I swap motors in the Camaro...and Im wondering which one to get?

    LS1?

LQ4? I can get an LQ4 complete for about 800$ Vs an LS1 completewith a PCM and Harness for 2500$....

Well...Lq4 with harness and PCM is 900$...but you get the point..

What should I do? and Which one would be better in the long run?

I was told the Lq4 would be a nice poison dose....I would build it up before I put it in of course...even do some machining...Mabye badass heads...etc..
But I probably wont go down Interstate "408" though

First thing to think of is the subframe. You're going to have to get one from a V8 camaro or buy tubular . Then you're going to have to come up with LS1 accessories. Your best bet is to buy a complete dropout from a salvage yard with everything intact. You will nickel and dime yourself into the poor house doing the conversion if you don't buy it all in one package. With any luck you could find a totalled V8 and buy the front half of the car for about $2500.

It will fit once you have the correct kmember. You'll have to source the accessories, too, and seperately they get expensive.
