I think it is too hard to look at something and tell how it flows. Kind of like the D ports, looks no better than the normal ports to me. I would like to test one of those if I end up with a LS2/L92 setup. It says it makes 10 HP over the stock one. I bet with FI it could make alot more!![]()

yeah thats true, i wouldnt think the d shaped ports would flow better or be considered an upgrade but numbers dont lie... just looks like they couldve made it diff and not had the primaries going up into it like that.![]()
No its not restrictive at all, the long runners(not primaries) are for increased low end TQ. If you wanted top end power the runners would be flush with the rest instead of coming into the plenum area.

Im not sure on the exact physics of it but basically the longer runner creates faster monving air with a lower volume of air. A lower volume of air moving through the intake of course is at lower rpm which in turn is where we need lots of TQ. The shorter runners work well for top end performance because the air has a more direct route to the valves at high rpm and thereforebetter performance up top, but since the runners are short they arent as effcient at speeding up the air at a lower volume of air.
