Does anyone know the specs of a stock fuel pump on a 2001 4.8 and on the 8.1's, Im thinking of buying the 8.1 fuel pump if its bigger and its stock injectors at the local parts store.

I would skip on anything stock if you're going through the trouble to replace the pump.
Get a nice walbro 255 intank pump and you won't have to worry about fuel issues for a while.
just my opinion.
As far as I know, the stock pump in the 8.1L is the exact same thing, when we replace them, they look identical, but that could only be externally.

let me know i can get you one,

Yeah, I probably will go with the walbro, its only $132 at texas speed. Besides I looked up the two pumps at autozone.com and the 4.8 and 8.1 use the same one. What about using the stock injectors from an 8.1? I dont know what my stock ones are.

The stock injectors from an 8.1 are about a 29lb injector, that's just on the edge, the larger marine injectors are 42lb's, that's plenty.

Get the 42's. You don't want to worry if you've got enough and the 42's would do well.

Just go ahead and grab the 42lb. injectors and Walbro from Allen. You will be fine. The 42's are bigger than what you need, but that is better than starving your motor...

Allen, does he need fuel rails also?

That combination will work just fine, it's probably the best solution. No fuel rails needed for that setup, I believe the powerdyne won't over power the stock fuel lines and setup, just the injectors and pump.

Hey, I do have two sets of 42lb used injectors coming, they are $250.

let me know,
allen
