Well it only took me 3 days, lol, just no time to dedicate to it.

Got it done last night and what a difference! The truck feels 1000lbs lighter. The turbo still spools up just fine, actually better.
The truck doesn't strain through the gears. 2250rpms @ 70mph, 2500rpms @ 80mph, on a 31.29" tire.
Oh ya, the stock setup was howling for so long I didn't realize how quiet it should be, lol, the 4.10's and Yukon Posi don't make any noise.

Now time to get to the track. I'm waiting for my replacement slick to come in and then I'll crank it up to 10psi. For those who are close, it's time to catch up, hahaha, sorry about that.
The truck should run some low 12's with slicks, 10psi if nothing else breaks. I know I'm pushing it with this stock trans, only has a shiftkit and servo.

i'll keep you guys posted,
allen

Are you talking about the Ave or the farmtruc? I need to get a poll going to see which dates would be good for everyone to go out to SAR. We need to all get together, its been way too long.

We have a few guys going out to Ennis, so we'll have to compare times.

Isn't the Avalanche 4wd? Did you have to replace the front gears as well? And if you don't mind me asking, since my 3.73's won't last forever, what's a ballpark price on parts for that kind of a swap?

No, it's 2wd, luckily. I think the posi and gears cost me around $575, or something like that. Plus, I can use synthetic with this posi.
The install was a piece of cake, as long as all the parts come with the kit, lol.

thanks,

Ahhh...I thought they were basically all Z71's with some embellishments.

Anyway - hey my PCM is getting delivered today, thanks for the quick ship. Hoping for some good times tomorrow!
