Thumbs up

I am helping 2500HD6.0 put his STS kit on and he just ordered (overnight) a 255 fuel pump. His new tune is showing up to day but that is for his stock fuel pump with 42# injectors.
(He won't run it to hard on the stock pump for fear of going boom)

If we put the new fuel pump in before he gets a tune for it will this hurt anything?

Does he have to retune for the new fuel pump before running it hard? (Think safely it will only take a few days to get a new tune but that’s along time when you have turbo noises following you around.)

You can install the fuel pump before I tune for the new pump. The tune he has now was tuned for: removing the magnacharger and having 42lb injectors. I did not tune for the turbo becuase his retune form said only removing charger and keeping the 42lb injectors, so a/f ratio and timing are different, DO NOT MAKE ANY BOOST!!!!
His truck has an NA tune, high timing and lean. A turbo tune is rich and lower timing.

He'll be able to drive it down for a full tune, just don't make any boost or kaboom.

If he needs a new tune for the turbo, we can send him a retune.

let me know,
allen

Just leave the intake piping loose so it will leak if it tries to make boost. You need a wideband! Oh and pics please?

Hey guys we have a serious problem. 2500HD6.0 made it home but now he is blowing fuel pump fuses like crazy!! He can put a new fuse in and the truck will start but as soon as he moves the gas pedal the fuse blows. WTF is going on with it!!!
