Moze, I think I know where you are going with that question...

#1. If you are eventually going to get stupid with power, go ahead and have the 4L60E built. FLT makes a damn good built tranny, but be prepared to spend some overtime cash ($,$$&#036 on it. Or get in touch with Sprayed99 and ask him to inform you of his contacts for a built 4L60E.

There really is no use in doing a Transgo kit if you are going stupid with power. If you do the Transgo now (or something similar), you will just end up taking those parts out when you have your tranny built, i.e. wasting time and money. A 4L60E (when built porperly) can handle in the neighborhood of 450 ft. lbs. of torque. Anything over that, swap the 60E with an 80E.

#2. Nonecktribe, what part of Texas? If you are up in the DFW area, there are a lot of good shops around, but I can recommend one from reading other's posts...TRT Performance in Arlington. www.trtturbo.com.

#3. If you go with TRT, they will tell you.

#4. Uh....on 87...maybe 30-35hp? 89 may yield 3-5 hp extra over 87. But I would definitely recommend contacting Nelson Performance for those figures. www.nelsonperformance.com.

Oh, and a torque converter would be highly recommended 2600-3000 stall...

If anyone else can shed some light, please do.

If you're in Burleson you need to go to TRT Performance. Billy and Dustin will take good care of you, they do good work, and their prices are very reasonable.

well i still need to buy some gears and some LT's, a tune. then some wheels.....and some front leather seats...my wife decide to burn a hole in the front passenger seat kinda pissed me off, im leaving the rear seats cloth due to my dogs(they like to go vrooom vrooom too). i just figured i would buy the stuff and then put it all in at once to save from having to change the tune multiple times. I would have almost everything if i didnt have to spend about a grand putting in a new A/C system in my wifes crap mitsubishi...the compressor bearing blew apart and went through the system( I hate foreign crap)
