I went to the track this weekend to get some baseline times. The truck is completely stock down to the paper air filter. I was spinning really bad and would have to let off the gass then hit it again after it got traction.

I did three 1/8 mile runs at 10.4 and the last one at 10.3 with 2.6 60ft and a 2.5 60ft on the last run. I also hit the tow/haul button and manually shifted on the last run as per advice from fellow Chevy owners. It was my first time manually shifting so I shifted at 5400 not wanting to hit the rev limiter.

I will be getting some wheels/tires and suspenssion work done before the engine and turbo go in.

    BTW, I have a 2003 RC Stepside Silverado 2wd.

I went a couple of weekends ago and ran a 16.2 1/4. I only got to run once due to the jr. dragsters taking up the lanes. Mine is stock except for a K&N 4.8L 2002 RC Sportside/stepside 2wd. I think it was a 2.5 60' but it wasn't hard to get traction.

Engine and turbo go on in a couple of weekends. I'd be interested in what you do and the times you get. I also want to mod the supension like you posted in another thread.

2.6 60ft., i guess you really didn't have traction. Thats about what i got last time without traction at all.

    Ah I found the slip. It was a 2.47 60" and a 10.51 1/8 @ 67.89MPH. I figured not too bad for a truck I'd only driven for 60 miles or so.

My last slip reads as follows:

    60 ft-------2.580
    1/8-------10.369
    1/8mph--77.780

Yes, I was spinning bad then letting off the gas then hitting it again after it got traction. I was running with Goodyear Wrangler 235-75-17 tires on cheapo stock wheels.

I'm swapping in my 5.7L with a Trick Performance front mount turbo. What is your new setup like?

That just amazes me that you guys saying your spinning badly with stock trucks and stock tires and all, when I can pull a 1.99 60' with 255x70x16 with all the mods on my truck. Just don't understand it ahaha

Does the track sux that bad or is it the drivers???

Probably both although there were a lot of people complaining about traction or lack thereof compared to other tracks. Also, the 235-75-17 Wrangler tires does not help either. The truck was shipped to me and I only has it for two days before I took it out so I am not used to it yet.
