I finally went and ran my 03 ecsb last night at a local 1/4 mile track. My results were not what i expected! I had brought my truck before i did my mods last winter and i ran a best time of 15.094 with a cold air intake and a magnaflow muffler. Well now i have went ahead and installed some lt's, ory, ls1 fans, billet servo, and i got a nelson tune. Unfortunately my best time last night was a 14.677 . I do not think that is too impresive for the mods i have done. The wheather was not as good as it was when i ran it before the mods, but the wheather was still fairly good last night. Also my 60' times did not pick up hardly at all! Does this seem normal or not. I did not spin before at the track and i do not spin now so traction is not an issue. These are my numbers before and after my mods.

Before mods: After mods:
60'= 2.254 60'=2.247
330= 6.360 330=6.262
1/8=9.763 1/8=9.528
1/4=15.094 1/4=14.677
MPH=91.67 MPH=94.64

I do not understand this and any comment would be greatly appreciated!!!

well weather condition does play a big factor on your time...do you remember how the weather was on the before time? plus a tune doesnt really help out your 60ft, its all in your tires on that one. try bringing it down to a 2.1 maybe a 2.0 and you'll see some impressive numbers...other than that, your truck is running pretty good for your mods and your 60ft.

Well the temp was about 10 degrees warmer and humidity was a little higher also. Also my gears are 3.42's. I'm thinking about going with 4.10's. Do yall think it will well worth it? What should i expect to pickup time wise?

You will need a good bit more traction with the 4.10s. Go with a stall, big cam, slicks, and locking diff and I think you'll find what you want. Still might only be in the 13's.

According to the online HP vs 1/4 mile speed calculator, you picked up like 36 HP.

yeah figure about 10 hp for every MPH picked up. i woulda expected a little more but weather plays a huge factor. gears, and a stall will knock that time down

old mod list: H/C/I/N/E/G 408
new mod list: 5.3, gears/posi, mufler and tune : (

I think he's got an extended cab Z71 like me, so if he can get in the 13's he's not doing bad. Crap, I'd take "only 13's"...

How long has it been since you got the nelson tune and everything installed? I stated this on another thread, but its too be expected most truck computers are different and it takes each one a different amount of time to relearn the new tune to get its full potential.
