I'm not going to pay $84.00 for the JPR cam install tool. So I made one. Total cost $4.50. Here's what you need.

2 1/4 inch brass tubing from hobby store ($2.25 each part#K&S1149)

cut them to the lengh of your cam (20in.) with cutoff wheel

bend one end at a 90deg. 1 inch up flat with pliers

you have a cam install tool

Now when you do a cam swap, spin the old cam. Then slide this tubing in the ports beside the cam, the left and right sides.. NO WAY the lifters will slide down now. So swap new cam with old new one. And pull the tubing out, and go on from there.

They have a pic of the JRP install tool. I made the same thing for my cam, but out of brass.

I borrowed the JPR tools from a friend but they look very easy to make out of some aluminum bar as well. Yea, I would't have paid $90 for them either.
