I say LC-1 or nothing. If you want both types of display go with the XD-16 guage...reads digitally and has an anolog sweep also.
Hope it all goes better Mikey.

update....all strims and ltrims drop to 0 when the 'rev limiter' is hit at 3800. Nothing else really seems to change. Truck has around 21-24* timing at idle, seems to be around 28-33* at decent acceleration (don't think he's gone WOT yet, just to be safe)
he's tryin to figure out how to get the logs on the computer now lol
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

Fuel trims drop? Could it be the fuel cutoffs are set at 3800?

"but we were seeing like 31 degrees of knock retard at one point."
IF the above is true don't even think about messing with your ride until you have a solution. Thats INSANE!

A Gm vehicle with STFT/LTFT will go to 0 when you enter PE (power enrichment). The indicator to turn on PE is based on RPM/Throttle Position. The STFT/LTFT will stop being used because your o2's values are not being used once this PE condition is met. The motor goes from closed loop operation to open loop operation at this point. This is the point at which you go from closed loop (stoich fueling i.e. 14.xx AFR) to open loop fueling (MAF only) where it references a value in the tune for WOT commanded AFR. Why he locks his tunes I'll never know or understand why everyone accepts it. The LS1tech.com community frowns on such a practice. Especially when you're not local. You can get mail order tunes from Texas-Speed.com for $250 with open file, and 1yr of updates.
It would be a total shame if its something uber stupid like IN GEAR RPM LIMIT: 3,800. Too bad you'll never know since you can't see the values in the tune before/after the supposed fix.

Tune is WAY off. You're vehicles o2 sensors are telling the PCM to pull nearly its max amount (i.e. 25%) of fuel as its very rich. Currently you're pulling 18.8% fuel to reach your stoich value.
By the way if you're expecting a perfected tune based on your random 1,2,3 scans in that PDF you're never going to get a perfect mail order fix. 3 frames of values is literally guessing as to what corrections you need to make. You really need to send a true scan using HP Tuners Scanner or similiar to get things totally dialed in. The only other way this could be fixed is to get a copy of a similar tune sent to you to get you close.
i dont have HPT to scan it, but i am considering purchasing it.. but to get it will take me 3+ business days from Nelson, cuz HPT sends it from IL to Nelson and from Nelson back to me in IL hehehe.. i didnt expect a perfected tune, just one that runs better than it does now. ill see about maybe getting a better scan on the way home or something.. maybe capture between 6 and 29 frames if possible.
