painting interior accents?

I was thinking about doing a little interior painting.
Maybe just the driver side a/c vent area where the lights switch is at and the section around the radio. Thinking painting them gloss black, like the exterior paint of my truck.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, like what grade of sand paper to use if any, or paint promoter. Also, what paint/clear would be recommended for this interior job? Thanks
