Explain to me how people with AWD trucks are able to pull the front drive shaft and dyno them in 2wd. Yes I have pulled a front driveshaft, no there wasn't any leaking fluid, yes the transfer case was full of fluid. No I don't have a 4wd/AWD truck mine is 2wd, but I have worked on plenty.

It don't pour out it leaks when u start driving, ur fill and drain plug is right behind where you front drive shaft goes in, google an exploded view, AWD uses a diff transfer, I can't comment on that I don't have 1. But if u take my drive shaft out and drive down a hill (uneven ground) fluid comes out
the only way to dyno an awd is to swap to a 4x4 transfer case. The awd transfer-case has a Viscous coupling between the front and rear.
But for the topic at hand. Put on a trans cooler, get a tune and put her in 3rd for towing. Ive moved across country with an 18 foot trailer loaded down just fine. The engine was perfectly happy at 2200-2500 rpms and I put a thousand miles on like this. I just tore the engine down for heads/cam and everything is beautifull after 110,000 miles.

There is a tricky procedure that works if you follow it to a t. Basically use no brakes and dont leave trans in gear with stopped wheels. Torque management goes crazy with the wheel speeds being very different. So its possible but a huge pain in the shorts. Nothing that is worth it for a DD.

^ Just so you know the Auto-Trac T-Cases uses both viscous clutch and CHAIN!! .........Maybe YOU should Google things before you open your mouth and down people. And to confirm that this guy is the dumbest on the forum, who says the stupidest things. Don't you have like 8x or more post in the diag. section about trans and drive line issues? Maybe if you took your own advice and Google'd things before typing, every one on the site would not think that you are a retard that spells like a little kid. As for the front drive shaft issue I have had both Auto-Trac and AWD T-cases and and have ran both of the trucks without a the front drive shaft for months at a time with no loss of any fluids, only a dribble when pulling the yoke out of the case. I have also had the floor shifted 4wd T-case that I removed the shaft in as well with no problems. Soooo get your info straight before you make yourself sound any dumber

U sound like a, there's no chain u it's a belt drive, and the whole housing holds fluid, do you want a pick of the case opend up? And the reason I have so many post on transmissions is because of stupid on here that know it all and know nuthing. If you happin to look there is a seal that keep fluid and trash from passing, so yes there is fluid behind that seal and it can leak past if you take the shaft out. And I am running 2 diff gears and it works and no issues and no serv lights. I'm replying on my cell phn and I care less how I'm spelling, don't like it don't read it. I didn't go to your online spelling school. Must make you a hero cause you can pick out a misspelled word huh?
